A bit about me…

I’m Sophie Clark. Content marketer, content strategist and writer. I’ve spent the last 12 years working with B2B and B2C companies, developing content strategies and telling their stories through online and offline content. From web copy to blogs to events.

I’ve lived and worked internationally which has taught me the importance of understanding the market you’re in and the people you need to cater to. It’s only by understanding the subtle differences of the audience that you can create content that resonates, and ensures the stories stick.

I started my career working in events, creating content programmes for B2B conferences around the world, for industries including petrochemical trading, aviation, food production, hospitality and HR. This gave me experience of quickly getting to grips with the key challenges facing any industry in order to develop content that resonates, and taught me how to quickly adapt to the language and tone of that community to be able to communicate clearly.

My time in conferences also gave me experience in marketing, where content was the product. And, after almost eight years working solely in events, I branched out to work in content strategy and marketing more broadly. This included working with Lexus in Australia (via an agency partner) and in-house at a SaaS brand in Luxembourg.

This evolution of my career has given me hands-on experience of developing not only content as a product, but also creating content for marketing and gaining marketing skills to enable content to have real business impact.

In 2021, I went freelance and have since worked with a number of companies and organisations, mainly in the technology and finance sectors, to help them create content that supports their marketing objectives.

I love learning new things and tackling new challenges and I work with clients across content marketing, content strategy and writing projects.
